Acclimaté aux canicules, il s'adapte néanmoins aux froids hivernaux, il supporte le gel.</p> <p>Ses minuscules feuilles, précocement caduques, tombent si rapidement qu'il est décrit parfois comme un arbuste sans feuillage.
